Four companies indicted by US Department of Justice barred from fipart

On Thursday June 24th, the US Department of Justice sent a public notice titled “Members of International Procurement Network Indicted for Supplying Iran with U.S. Military Aircraft Components”. According to the charges, five companies conspired to sell military parts into Iran, violating multiple laws and international treaties.

These charges were aggravated by the fact that the company acted in coordination to hide the transactions and the flow of money. As you can see in this video report from the FBI press conference, this is quite an elaborate scheme. Although both US companies have already pleaded guilty to the charges, Aerotechnic (France) issued a statement in which it vows to defend itself claiming to be an innocent bystander that was deceived by others.

However, as per our strict Quality policy, we have now removed and barred the following companies from fipart:

  • The Parts Guys
  • Galaxy Aviation Services
  • AeroTechnic (France)
  • Sabanican Company

This is a very serious example of the kind “Dishonest Suppliers” fipart has been built to eliminate from the industry. If you know of a company that has been involved in illegal activity and does not meet the industry standard of honesty, please report them to us directly at MROebiz@fipart.com.
